A new beginning
As you may have noticed, I have decided to somewhat start over with my little website here. It has been over 2 years since the last redesign and the place needs a little paint. In addition, I have also made a change to the architecture of the place as well. I am no longer using my hand-rolled ColdFusion software. I have switched the site over to WordPress. This should provide some extra functionality that I simply did not have the time to program in.
So far, there is not much to the new site. I am still working on transfering over all of my old posts to the new tables, so look for that in the near future. Hopefully it won’t be that big of a job.
The design of the site is, hopefully, only temporary. As I get used to the way that WordPress templates work, I am hoping to come up with something a lot more exciting and fresh. The traditional blog design is a little dated.
I am really impressed with how simply it has been to get WordPress installed and running. If anyone is looking for blog software for their site, I highly recommend WordPress.
